Want to know about us?
Martin and I moved to the Peak District in 1999 and immediately fell in love. We fell in love with the wide open skies where you can see the weather approaching from the distance. We fell in love with the gentler pace of life and the feeling that everything will come good in the end. And we fell in love with the genuine warmth and friendliness of all those that we came across. And we became passionate about sharing all that.
With two derelict barns on our property, renovating them to holiday home accommodation was the obvious choice.
We had holidayed in self catering accommodation a fair amount and had developed a list of elements that we believed all added up to the perfect holiday cottage;
– uncluttered by personal possessions i.e. it’s not about us
– easy to use heating systems
– understandable appliances
– the provision of enough daily essentials not to need to bring them yourself (remind me to tell you the toilet roll story)
Those two empty barns were our blank canvas on which to leave our mark.
Conversions completed in 2008, we have since welcomed many families and visitors and hope left them with some wonderful memories of the Peak District.
We love to see our guests visibly relax during their stay with us, their pets too!
We believe in providing good value and in treating people the way in which we would like to be treated.
We’ll be on hand if you need us, but not in your face.
We hope that we have inspired you to come and love it for yourself.
“We take your break personally”
