Directions by public transport
Unfortunately, the village is no longer served by bus. There are a number of bus routes that pass through either Buxton or Bakewell and we’d happily arrange to collect you. Please enquire. Use the Derbyshire public transport map to plan your route.
Arrivals by other means
Arrivals by bicycle are always welcome. We have secure bike storage so there is no need to store bikes in the cottages.
We’ve had an arrival by microlight in the past so, if you do have a more unusual form of transport, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you!
Directions by car;
There is plenty of off-road parking just a few metres from the cottages.
Once you get close you are looking for ‘Rockfield House’ – the house name is on a large slab of rock under the first tree on the driveway.
From the south
Follow the A515 until right hand turn for Monyash (directly after the Parsley Hay turn off at the bottom of a dip). Follow this road into Monyash. At the crossroads, straight over for Flagg. Follow up to T junction. Turn right (marked to Taddington). At crossroads, turn left (usually marked to Chelmorton, however the signpost is missing currently). Rockfield House is on the right immediately after Hubber Dale Farm.
From the north and northwest
Leaving Buxton, follow the A6 until right hand turn for Taddington. After 500 yards turn right (marked Flagg). At the crossroads, turn right (usually marked to Chelmorton, however the signpost is missing currently). Rockfield House is on the right, immediately after Hubber Dale Farm.
From the east
Leave Bakewell on the B5055 towards Monyash. After 2 miles, turn right towards Flagg. After a further 4 miles and at the crossroads, do not turn to Flagg but carry on (usually marked to Chelmorton, however the signpost is missing currently). Rockfield House is on the right, immediately after Hubber Dale Farm.
