We had a superb week – weather was perfect – sunny every day )very lucky at this time of year!) The cottage is lovely – very cosy and well equipped and very peaceful. This is our first visit to the area and we loved it – excellent walks with interesting places to visit en route e.g. Eyam and Magpie Mine Also loved the local markets – Bakewell is lovely and Chesterfield market is huge! Excellent food at the local pubs – particularly the Bulls Head be warned – the portions are enormous!

This has been our second stay here and we absolutely love it. Perfect place lovely and quiet with great views. Really good location not too far from everything. Thanks for a great stay and no doubt we will be back!
Peter & Roena – August 2018
Here for the Country Fair at Chatsworth – blessed with hot sunny weather and mild winds. Wonderfully peaceful and quiet at Flagg in contrast.
O’Brien Family – August 2018
What a wonderful find – beautiful, well equipped cottage and amazing views of the surrounding countryside – so peaceful and tranquil. We have had a great time catching up with family and friends over the Bank Holiday and finally saw Chatsworth in all its glory! Next time we plan to do more local walks. Thanks for a fabulous stay!
Vale Family – August 2018
We found the barn following reading good reviews and have not been disappointed! We’ve had a genuinely lovely stay in the beautifully clean Hayloft and loved accessing as much as possible of this fantastic area in the UK. We will definitely be back for more walks and cakes (and hopefully water adventures) next year. Thank you so much Marian – a much needed and enjoyable break! :-)
Peter & Roena – August 2018
Another fleeting visit, lovely as always. What I like is the cottage is always so clean and welcoming, no hasty shopping on the way up from provisions, everything is ready for a cup of tea upon arrival. Thank you Marian. Spent an hour at Magpie Mine watching the sun vanish, no one there, very atmospheric, very full of imagination. Deep breath. X
