Lovely cottage. Everything you need is provided. Lovely to ‘get away’ from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Weather ok. Recommend the Church Inn, Bulls Head, village shop in Ashford for sandwiches etc (good cakes too! – Marian) – all mentioned in previous reviews. Very reluctant to leave!

We had a fantastic week in this cottage. It was peaceful and has beautiful surrounds. We enjoyed walks all around The Peak District and enjoyed cream teas in Hartington. Would definitely recommend the White Lion pub in Great Longstone. Had a fantastic time, thank you so much! (our second visit here)

Lovely relaxing week, well-stocked cottage. Great garden for the dogs to run in. Enjoyed a Sunday lunch at The Church Inn – would recommend. Lovely – would return – thank you x

We enjoyed a lovely week here. Isaac and Emma took three trips walking the dark and white peaks – enjoyed Kinder Scout and tackling the waterfalls. Andrew took about four bike rides out into the hills. Maisie managed some good walks also – some very tough with the wheelchair but also found a 4 mile wheelchair friendly walk around the High Peak Trail. Mabel had a great time walking all day and sleeping a lot once back to the cottage. Thanks for everything the cottage provided – Emma

Great house, lovely area, fantastic walks and amazing pubs. What more to say? Thank you for our stay.

We’ve spent a week in a different county every summer for many years. Hayloft Cottage has been one of the most comfortable and without doubt the most inspiring views. 10 week old cocker spaniel enjoyed having space outside to expend his energy. Our normal walking had to be necessarily restricted (puppy rebelled against backpack!) but some lovely visits, especially to Thornbridge Hall gardens. With thanks!
