Lovely cottage, perfect for 2 and hangers on! Lovely walks, despite the inclement weather. Would really recommend the Cock & Pullet at Sheldon. Needed the log fire for Dad and it was rather warm!

Have fallen in love with the cottage and the Peak District! Perfect place to stay and will highly recommend. Tried the Monsal Trail but although beautiful, was not for the unfit!! Went into Dove Dale…wow! Absolutely stunning and highly recommend (even for couch potatoes). Puppy dog has had a ball. Thank you for a really lovely break, we will definitely be seeing you again xx

A second lovely stay here. We’ve had a sociable week meeting up with Sheffield friends, and family in Matlock and Macclesfield. As well as visiting familiar favourite places, we enjoyed exploring Ashford and Sheldon – the church at Sheldon a hidden gem. Many thanks for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Lovely warm welcome, the cottage had everything we needed. Ideal base for visiting Buxton, Bakewell and even Leek!! The dog could run around the garden no probs. The log burner was lush! Thank you – had a great time.

Beautiful views. A lovely comfortable cottage. Great to be able to walk and cycle (Sheldon from Ashford was a push!) from the cottage. Recommend the village shop in Ashford (past the pub and tea rooms) for sandwiches which you can eat by the river. Enjoyed meal at The Church Inn. (Chelmorton)
